Stoves for Ambalona School Lunch Program

The efficient cook stoves for the Ambalona school lunch program in Madagascar are built and ready to be used! Here is the latest update from Fidi, AI and the HFM field technician in Madagascar. Fidi has been working with local villagers to build brick stoves in order to cook lunches for the 200 children attending primary school in the village of Ambalona. These stoves require much less wood that open fire pits, and work great for slow cooking rice and vegetables from the school gardens!

"Hello Alpine Initiatives,
We've finished the stove , It was very difficult for the villagers to build it and I worked with them to teach them how to do it. Everything going well and they manage the lunch program as we planed. All my best wishes and merry xmas" -Fidi
