Mountains Are Awesome! - Jan. 2012

One of the few photographer to start a career with a digital body before going to analog, Michael Schlegel was barely 20 when he first started getting noticed in 2008.. Captured with 40 years old Hasselblad, here are a few minimalist landscapes from his latest essay: "Massiv"

"Standing in front of these photographs, we perceive a sense of calm and silence, as well as solitude. There is no human presence, just the original beauty of nature which, almost hidden, Michael Schlegel offers for us to see.        Elisabetta Piatti's words to discribe some of Michael Schlegel previous work still apply here.

You can order any of the images above as limited editions FineArt-Prints. Prints are titled, dated, numbered and signed on the back. For orders and further information please contact Michael Schlegel.

*On the first of every month, we’ll take a little time to pay tribute to what we think is one of the most awe-inspiring things out there: Mountains.  It might be a photo, video, collage, painting, poem, etc. ... just a little something to say, "Hey, mountains, you're awesome!
